Local Continuity Coordinator
Position Summary:
Coordinate all incoming tapes and Traffic instructions for KPDX and KPTV local advertisers. Process all tapes by assigning house numbers and preparing these materials for dubbing by the Engineering department. Accurately implement National media instructions in the Wide Orbit Traffic System. Maintain a current library of National Traffic materials and coordinate regular purges of outdated materials with Engineering. Backup for National Continuity Coordinator. Any other tasks which may be required as requested by supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Input Traffic Instructions in Wide Orbit Receive and process tapes and instructions from mail and satellite delivery. Coordinate dub lists and material delivery to Master Control. Coordinate regular purge of files and materials with Master Control. Maintain current filing system and current tape library for Local Commercials.
Minimum Qualifications – All must be met to be considered.
2 years experience in Television or Radio Traffic. College Degree preferred. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products of Word and Excel, use of Basic Windows XP operation and use of the Internet. Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic Software is preferred.
Skills and Abilities Must be highly organized and able to focus on detail. Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize throughout the day as needed. Must work within deadlines. Must be customer service oriented and have good interpersonal skills.
