Temporary Photographer

Position Summary:

The Photographer is responsible for videotaping various lifestyle events and editing tape for daily program.

Assignment is 2-3 months duration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Functions as staff photographer, creatively shooting and editing video of daily general assignments.

Effectively uses existing technology to enhance story coverage.

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications – All must be met to be considered.

High school graduate or GED required. College degree preferred. Video photography courses or seminars a plus.

Five years experience in all phases of news photography and editing.

Understanding of technological aspects of television news gathering.

Skills and Abilities

Superior skills of video photography and editing.

Must be able to shoot video with speed, efficiency, and creativity.

Must be able to edit video on Avid systems.

Must be able to produce high quality stories.

Must be able to maintain all assigned equipment in excellent working condition.

Must be willing to work shifts as assigned.

Must have a valid Oregon or Washington State driver’s license.
