Temporary Avid Editor

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for timely editing of lifestyle stories , bumpers, teasers, and archive tapes.

Assignment is 2-3 months duration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Edit lifestyle stories, bumpers, teases, and archive tapes.

Shoot video and cover stories in the field.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications – All must be met to be considered.

High school graduate or GED. College degree in broadcasting or related field preferred.

Video editing on both linear and non-linear systems. Avid editing experience a plus.

Minimum one year professional experience as a television tape editor and/or photographer.

Skills and Abilities

Theory and practice of editing as opposed to assembling

Working knowledge of Avid systems

Excellent oral communications and interpersonal skills.

Ability to organize and handle assignments under time pressures in an environment subject to quick and constant change.
