Man Mugged At Knifepoint In NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Police are searching for two men involved in a knifepoint mugging in northeast Portland.Cesar Gorgonio said the men approached him in an office park on Northeast 102nd Avenue and Glisan Street on Tuesday night.Gorgonio, a janitor who was working at the time, said he tossed his final load of trash into a dumpster when the men came up to him.He said the thieves, one of whom was armed with a knife, started going through his pockets and found $500 in his wallet.
Gorgonio's wife, Amber, said she was angry after hearing the thieves tossed her husband's empty wallet into the bushes and then laughed."They don't know who they've hurt," she said. "We've got a little girl. They don't know what they've done."Cesar Gorgonio said he filed a police report after the robbery and then ran home to his family."It makes me appreciate him all the more," Gorgonio's wife said. "What if he didn't have the money? Would they have stabbed him out of anger and frustration?"Police said one of the suspects is black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. The other was described as black, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 130 pounds with gaps in between his teeth. They were both wearing black hooded sweatshirts at the time of the robbery.Anyone with information is asked to call police.
