RAINIER, Ore. -- A U.S. Marshals task force arrested a man Thursday who is considered a person of interest in a Rainier homicide.

Officers took 24-year-old Joshua Cubbage into custody on warrants unrelated to the homicide case.

State police said Cubbage had been wanted on a felony probation violation warrant and a misdemeanor warrant out of Columbia County.

Cubbage lives in Rainier and his neighbor, 62-year-old Vernon McCullough, was found dead in his home late last month.

Police have released few details surrounding McCullough's death.
