PDX 49 Free Donut Friday Rules

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

2. To enter, watch The log on to www.kpdx.com and complete registration. Complete the registration and entry form (name, address, daytime phone number, age, how many people work with you, and e-mail address) and submit on-line at www.kpdx.com. There is no cost to register. Sweepstakes begins 8/19/05 and ends TBD. (Sweepstakes begins August 19th 2005, at 5:00pm PST and will continue indefinitely)

3. On-line entries for each week’s prize must be received by 8am on Thursday of the week the prize will be drawn for. Entrants must be legal residents of OR and WA, and 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of KPTV/KPDX, Meredith Corporation, their agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or persons residing in the same household are not eligible. Winners of a prize from KPDX within the past thirty (30) days from the beginning date of this sweepstakes are not eligible.

4. 1 winner per week will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about 10 a.m. on Thursday of the week the prize will be awarded under the supervision of KPDX. Once a viewer has entered, they are eligible to win each week for the duration of the promotion. All decisions of KPDX regarding winner selection and this sweepstakes are final. Winners will be notified by e-mail or phone and their prize will be delivered to their place of work by the UPN 49 Street Team (place of work not to exceed 50 miles roundtrip from PDX 49 studios, located at 14975 NW Greenbrier Parkway, Beaverton OR, 97006). KPDX is not responsible for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries. KPDX is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure of KPDX to receive entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web site or any combination thereof. KPDX also is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other’s computer related to or resulting from entering the sweepstakes. KPDX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted or because of non-authorized human intervention. In the event of cancellation, the prizes will be awarded by a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person whose name the corresponding e-mail account is registered to. All entries become the property of KPDX and will not be returned.

5. Weekly Prize: Between 4 and 10 dozen donuts (depending on size of workplace) to be delivered to winner’s place of work by the PDX 49 street team on Friday of the week prize is awarded. ARV: between $24 and $72 dollars.

6. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Entry constitutes permission for KPDX to use winner’s name, hometown, likeness, photograph, voice and statements regarding this sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of KPDX and Meredith Corporation without compensation unless prohibited by law. Winner, and where applicable, travel companion, will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity unless prohibited by law, within two days of notification. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, fails to claim prize, fails to comply with all rules, is unable to travel on dates of prize or attend event on prize date or fails to respond to the winner notification, the selected winner is disqualified and the prize is forfeited. If forfeited, another winner will be selected from among the eligible entries by random drawing. Subject to all U.S. federal, OR and WA state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

8. KPDX reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal of greater value for any reason or in the event that any event is postponed or cancelled or prize becomes unavailable.

9. By participating and winning a prize, winner releases KPDX , Meredith Corporation and KPDX, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in the sweepstakes or any prize awarded.
